During a major White House speech Thursday announcing expanded border measures, President Biden fumbled while discussing the replacement of Title 42, a public health law that has been used to deter migrants at the border. The speech came days before the president’s first-ever visit to the southern border next week as his administration struggles to deal with a historic surge in migrants.

- Finally, after many months of pressure, Biden has agreed to visit the border he opened to millions of illegal immigrants during his administration. Unfortunately, per Biden's remarks yesterday, it seems as though he still has no clue what is going on on his own southern border.
- It was announced that the U.S. is expanding a border control program that pairs migrant expulsions with a limited number of pre-approved entries per month, according to reports. Under the program, the United States would take in up to 30,000 Cubans, Nicaraguans, Haitians and Venezuelans each month, while ramping up efforts to detain and expel migrants who show up at the border unauthorized.
- Biden’s lawless executive edict also includes a promise of faster catch-and-release at the border (what they refer to as Title 8 processing) and faster admission of illegal aliens at our ports of entry.
